Preserved Properties

Since its establishment in 1990, SJLT (now merged with the Federation of Gloucester County Watersheds to form the South Jersey Land & Water Trust) has helped preserve:

• 400 acres along the Nacote Creek in Port Republic, Cumberland County;
• 200 acres in Upper Deerfield Township, Cumberland County;
• 55 acres on Andaloro Farm, Big Timber Creek in Deptford Twp., Gloucester County;
• 42 acres on Lodge Farm, West Deptford, Gloucester County;
• 60 acres on Liberty, Raccoon Creek in Logan and Woolwich Twps, and
• 114 acres on Cedar Lake in Monroe Township, Gloucester County and Buena Vista Township, Atlantic County, and has completed the Cedar Lake wetlands restoration project.

SJLT also facilitated preservation through donation:

• 500 acres in Hamilton Township, Atlantic County to a hunting club;
• 0.5 acres in Egg Harbor City, Atlantic County

South Jersey Land & Water Trust is currently working to preserve:

• 100 acres in S. Harrison Twp, Gloucester Co (under contract, to be finalized in 2006)
• 60 acres in Harrison Twp, Gloucester Co;
• 50 + acres in East Greenwich, Gloucester Co;
• 40 acres in Auburn, Salem Co,
• 30 acres in Gloucester Township, Camden Co., and
• The Raccoon and Oldman's Creek Watersheds through a Green Acres Project Area Grant.
